I believe...

The end, my friend - the point at which everything I have conceived comes to a halt. My efforts, my pains, and my pleasures are all for the sum of nothing but my subjective opinion that finishes when I finish. How wonderful it is however, that I have this chance! Make no mistake about it!

I believe in reason, first and foremost!

I'm a homosexual.

I'm living a reasonably healthy life.

I hold a belief in the scientific method.

I do not believe in any gods.

I do not know everything.

I believe in freedom.

I do not believe in government.

I do not believe the human race has a purpose.

I do not believe we have souls.

I do not believe there is any evidence of an afterlife.

I believe we each pursue our own meaning in life. I ascribe to existentialism.

I believe what a good friend of mine says - 'each to their own'.

I find answers in objectivism. I agree with Ayn Rand.

I believe the free market is good.

I do not support fiat currency or central banking.

I believe we don't have a capitalist system anywhere in the world, but rather cronyism.

I enjoy music and the thoughts it entices.

I find consuming knowledge an ever continuing and life fulfilling objective.

I like the possibilities life presents:
  • 'Dare to know'
  • 'The world is your oyster'
I disagree with collectivism.

I disagree with altruism.

'I think therefore I am'.

I believe religion cripples the individual.

I believe religion corrupts society at large.

I believe religion causes pain and suffering in the world.

I believe faith is destructive.

I do not believe in marriage.

I do not believe in same-sex marriage.

I believe if two or more people wish to join together in 'marriage', they are free to do so; it is none of my concern.

I believe life is incredible.

I do not like abortion, but I support a woman's ability to choose; it is not my issue.

I believe contraception is a choice, not a sin.

I do not like discrimination based solely on race, orientation or something beyond our control; I also believe one is entitled to discriminate based on these things. Discrimination focused on character is appropriate on an individual level.

I do not like pleasure seekers - it can be internally destructive.

I like and don't like a lot of things, but it isn't mine, or anybody else's right to impose on another's life in any manner contrary to their will.

I believe the founding fathers of the United States of America had a complete perspective on what freedom is about.

I think Thomas Jefferson was the greatest President of the United States of America.

I believe in a bill of rights.

I do not believe in the modern perspective of a bill of rights; one must stipulate the limitations of government and not what 'the people' ought to have given to them from government. This is my minarchist/libertarian position.

I am an anarcho-capitalist with a view that libertarianism is the means to that objective.

I have no sympathy for those that don't try in life.

I used to be fat. I have no feeling for obese people who aren't trying. It is also not government's job to help by curbing advertisements or the like.

I believe in charity.

I do not believe in welfare.

I believe in free immigration; under the welfare state however, I am unfortunately inclined to restrict immigration.

I believe the fruits of my labour are my property, and at all times mine to expend and nobody else's.

I do not believe in the prohibition of drugs. Decriminalisation will see an improvement in society, not the reverse.

I do not believe in trading hour restrictions for businesses. A shop should be able to open as long as it thinks necessary.

I do not support public transport.

I do not support licencing or restrictions of entry to particular markets (Taxis and liquor licencing are examples).

I do not support mandatory membership to associations (Legal and medical associations, or unions are examples).

I believe in evolution.

I do not believe in creationism.

I do not support taxation. Yes, I think taxation = theft.

I do not support government mandated maternity leave. This has nothing to do with my homosexuality.

I do not agree with the minimum wage. This is destructive to society.

In Australia, I do not support first home owner's grants or baby bonuses.

I do not support public health care.

I do not support public education at all levels (Primary, secondary or tertiary).

Of all the levels of public funded education that I find most baffling is university. Why the public at large must pay for students to earn more than them is beyond me. This is not my only reason - it goes deeper than this.

I do not support public sponsored libraries. A user pay operation is more moral.

Et cetera, et cetera...

Anyway, this is the brief synopsis of who I am and what I believe. Like them, don't like them - I don't care.

This list mind you is not all I believe and is in no way complete...

Very consistent with what I know of you. No surprises in there for me, I guessed most of it.
